Matthew Wix Coaching

Helping people slow down, think clearly and move forward with purpose.

Coaching focused on you

Matthew Wix Coaching is based in the Cotswolds, working with people locally as well as offering online coaching wherever you are based.

Life and work can become busy and demanding. Coaching offers the space to step back, gain perspective and decide what comes next.

Coaching with me is calm, practical and focused on helping you move forward in a way that works for you.

Is this for you?

Coaching can be helpful if you:

• Want clearer direction or focus

• Are juggling a lot and want to think more clearly

• Feel capable but slightly stuck or flat

• Want to make progress toward personal or professional goals

• Are reassessing habits or your relationship with alcohol

• Carry responsibility at work, in leadership, or in business

• Feel stuck but can’t quite explain why

• Know you’re capable but something feels slightly off

• Want a space to think things through without pressure or judgement

You don’t need to be at breaking point. If you want support to move forward well, this may be for you.

  • Priorities and decision-making
  • Balance and boundaries
  • Navigating life transitions or change
  • Reconnecting with what matters most

Habits and Alcohol

  • Exploring your relationship with alcohol
  • Alcohol-free or alcohol-light goals
  • Reducing habits that no longer serve you
  • Building routines that support energy and wellbeing
  • Creating space for clearer thinking and better decisions

About Matthew

I’m Matthew Wix, a professionally trained coach who works with people navigating pressure, responsibility, and change.

I’ve worked across high-pressure environments including the pharmaceutical industry, private healthcare, the care sector, and alongside NHS organisations. I understand what it’s like to operate in demanding systems where expectations are high and time is limited.

Alongside that professional experience, I’ve also been there personally. I’ve felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and stuck. Coaching helped me slow things down, regain perspective, and change how I was living and working. It made a genuine difference.

That experience shapes how I work now. Calm, human, and non-judgemental. I meet people where they are and support them to move forward in a way that fits their life and values.

What I’ve learned through both work and life is that people rarely need someone to “fix” them. More often they need the space to think, reflect and make decisions that truly align with the life they want. Coaching creates that space.

Accreditations

I hold a Diploma in Coaching Practice from the Andy Ramage Business School, a programme accredited by leading professional coaching bodies including the International Coaching Federation, the Association for Coaching and the European Mentoring & Coaching Council. I’m also a certified Alcohol-Free Performance Coach.

My work is grounded in positive psychology and practical behaviour change, delivered in a straightforward and human way. Positive psychology focuses on what’s working, building strengths and creating momentum, so our conversations are about clarity, direction and meaningful progress.

How coaching with me works

Coaching is a partnership.

We work together in a confidential, supportive space focused on your goals. Sessions are conversational, structured where helpful, and shaped around you.
Coaching often involves:

• Clarifying what you want to achieve

• Exploring what’s getting in the way

• Thinking things through without judgement

• Identifying realistic, meaningful next steps

I use coaching frameworks and positive psychology in the background, but sessions feel natural and human.

Coaching is not therapy or counselling. It’s about empowering you to move forward.
